GET A QUOTEWebI actually think 3/4 ton diesels don't make any sense given how bad the payload is (like less than 2000lbs). That said on the 1-ton SRW, the 7.3L tow capacity is limited by the motor. With the 6.7L, tow capacity is limited on other factors - meaning the 6.7L will handle max tow on non-flat terrain much better.

Great trucks but if your towing anything bigger then a 24 foot trailer look at a bigger truck. 3/4 tons seems like a waste of time as the 1 tons are not that much more and towing capacities are much larger.
